Michael Jenkins qualified from UCL in 1989 as the Broderip Scholar. Expertise: Aortic aneurysms, stroke and carotid disease, claudication, diabetic foot, varicose veins, carotid surgery, stroke prevention

Michael Jenkins qualified from UCL in 1989 as the Broderip Scholar. He undertook surgical training in London at the Royal Brompton, Royal Marsden, Charing Cross, UCL and Royal Free hospitals and gained FRCS with the Gold medal. He was appointed to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon in 2002 and is based at St Mary’s Hospital with a tertiary referral practice in complex aortic disease. He is a past President of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET), previous Director of the NW London AAA screening programme, past chair of the Circulation Foundation and immediate past President of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
