Gary M. Ansel, MD, FACC is an interventional cardiologist and currently serves as Chief
Medical Officer and President for Healthcare Insights, a strategic advisory partnership.
Dr. Ansel is the former System Medical Chief, Vascular Program for OhioHealth and founder of
the OhioHealth Vascular Institute. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the
University of Toledo Medical Center.
Dr. Ansel was Associate Medical Director of the OhioHealth Research Institute and innovated
and pioneered endovascular devices and treatment paradigms. He has served as a primary
investigator for numerous national and international research trials and previously.
He was founding board member of the Vascular InterVentional Advances (VIVA.)
Dr. Ansel received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine
where he also completed a fellowship in cardiology. Residency and internship were at the
University of Toledo and received his post-fellowship training in peripheral vascular intervention
at the Ochsner Clinic.
